Singapore Getaways chronicles the travels of a group of friends living in Singapore around the Southeast Asian region. It began with the ambitious plan to go on at least one holiday a month for an entire year.
This was to be done with a great time restraint (usually only a weekend), on a varying budget (from luxe to backpacker). We also had to consider our diminishing desire to pass out on bar floors or sleep on the beach as we reluctantly relinquished our backpacking days to younger, less travel-battered, bodies.
Hopefully, this site will give you inspiration you want, as well as the information you need, to just hit the road and discover the many little delights this region generously offers.
In time, this site hopes to provide relevant and accurate micro-regional travel information to those who want more out of weekends than the repetitive movies and the same old food.
